Spring 2015 is shaping up to be a brilliant display of boldness! The designers’ visions for their collections, are eclectic mixes of new and old. Surprisingly fresh faces combine with soft hairstyles to bring to mind the natural femininity of the 60’s and 70’s.
Marc Jacobs
Models for Marc Jacobs strut the catwalk sans-makeup, in a collection falling somewhere between 80’s pop and 90’s grunge. Basic neutral colors pair perfectly with unexpected hemlines and bright patterns for a look that’s both familiar and all together surprising.
Michael Kors
Likewise, Michael Kors lets his designs do the talking with minimal makeup and understated hair. His collection has a distinct 1960’s girl-next-door-vibe with bright floral prints and bold accent colors complimenting crisp whites and soft denim blues, creating the appeal of a weekend in the Hamptons.
Louis Vuitton
As always, Louis Vuitton doesn’t disappoint – bringing extravagant geometric prints and contrasting textures into this year’s designs. To great effect, he pairs opposing lines and unexpected patterns, creating an overall look with a flavor of 1970’s Paris.
Valentino
Valentino creates a fantasy line best described as Marie Antoinette meets Frida Kahlo. He contrasts hard lines and geometric patterns with soft lace frocks adorned in in a fantastic array of colors. He further adds to the fantasy with whimsical ruffles and high collars for an effect that recalls a more romantic era.
With all this inspiration, I had to choose a few of my favorite looks, and found some fabulous SJ jewelry that would completely polish these gorgeous ensembles!

I love Michael Kors fashion and accessories lines year after year. Spring to me has always been pastels and pops of bold color. With all of that I love the Rock Star Cuff, and the Smokey Quartz Ring.
My heart will always follow the Hampton’s fashion with all of their styles.
Anymore fresh faced with hair parted down the middle and pulled back into a bun gave a striking resemblance of Amish girls at NYFW.
A lot of these looks remind me of the 80’s…great decade! Glad to see some less racy stuff coming back.

Nice to see so many outfits that are actually wearable by more than one age group. I can see the similarity to outfits I wore many years ago. Fantastic and the accessories look great, complimented the outfits and weren’t lost amongst the clothes.

I adore the gown from Valentino, it’s gorgeous! but then i have always had a love affair with the Edwardian/Victorian era. i love to take my nieces to a real tea house for high tea. we wear our best dresses, tea hats and lace gloves. LOL!
