Golden Globes 2015: Women Who Rock!

There was no shortage of lovely women on the 2015 Golden Globes’ red carpet this week. Women of all ages, body types, and ethnicities showed that no matter what the media tells us, there’s no cookie cutter standard – or expiration date – for beauty!

Dame Helen Mirren

As a director, producer, and actress, Salma Hayek Pinault has been nominated for numerous honors including Golden Globes, Academy Awards, and BAFTA Awards. Born in Veracruz, Mexico, she studied International Relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. An avid women’s rights activist, she’s testified before the United States Senate, and worked to increase awareness of issues surrounding domestic violence, breastfeeding and infant nutrition, and female empowerment. She was white-hot at this year’s Golden Globes, and totally rocked her dramatic feather earrings (similar to the ones found on SJ)!

Claire Danes

Claire Danes has played Louisa May Alcott’s, Beth March, William Shakespear’s, Juliet, and Victor Hugo’s, Cosette – but these days she’s best known for her role as bipolar spy, Carrie Mathison on HBO’s Homeland. She won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role as Temple Grandin in HBO’s 2010 biopic of the same name. Once called the Meryl Streep of her generation, she is an actress known to be willing to take risks for her craft. I love earrings; they are speak for themselves! If I had to choose, I would probably take the swarovski crystal earrings just because they are so versatile. The purple amythest and diamonds are stunners, but I don’t own much I could wear with them (except of course — and doesn’t everyone — the classic LBD!)

I must admit some women can never do anything right at any of these awards in the eyes of the newspapers they always criticise one or another of the stars.But personally these ladies must put hours into looking that good.
Claire Danes Homeland fame,You did’nt notice in the Newspaper the Blue coloured jewels in her dress,But those Blue earring matched her dress perfectly.And Dame Helen Mirren if i looked half as good as she does at her age i would be well pleased.I think jewellery adds a finishing touch to any outfit especially if it’s colour matched,Making anyone look & feel sensational.
